What IS IGBO
The primary function of the International Gay Bowling Organization is to provide educational services, communication avenues and social opportunities to promote the sport of bowling and to enrich the lives of individuals through leagues and tournaments worldwide.
For over 45 years, IGBO has been solidifying the sport of bowling in the LGBTQ+ community. Today the organization reaches over 9000 members in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Europe. With the help of IGBO and teams of local volunteers, these members have formed over 100 leagues, over 50 tournaments, and several non-profit organizations that are able to help those in their respective communities.
As a not-for-profit organization, not one person on the board receives a salary of any type; we are 100% volunteer. We operate on an extremely small budget relying on league and membership dues, corporate sponsorship and generous personal donations to continue fulfilling our duties from year to year.
Individuals who wish to donate to IGBO can do so below. As IGBO is a 501c3 organization, donations are generally tax deductible although we encourage you to contact your tax, legal and accounting advisors before engaging in any transaction.
