 October 2005—Before you know it will be 2006 and time for
the Mid-Year 2006 tournament in Detroit.
We are looking forward to having a great crowd
of diverse people enjoy our tournament. The
capacity for our tournament will be 480
bowlers. We are going to bowl at a spacious 64
lane house with just two shifts. Everyone will
be bowling the team event on Friday, and then
will get to bowl singles and doubles on Saturday.
We like to treat everyone equally and that
is why we are going to offer Men’s and Women’s
handicap pots in addition to the normal scratch
pots and brackets. This will give even more
chances to win at our tournament. Sunday will
be reserved for the Scratch Masters tournament,
but we are planning on having plenty of
activities besides bowling. For those at our tournament
that don’t bowl or don’t bowl well, we
will have other events like a casino trip as well
as Dart and Texas Hold’em tournaments. The
three diamond hotel has 238 rooms available
for us. For those of you that like a little adventure,
Detroit has a variety of bars to suit
anyone’s taste. Our committee looks forward
to showing you a good time whether you are
bowling or not. Detroit will be the place to be
in November of 2006. See you then.
