IGBO has personal achievement pins for leagues, and now tournaments, for all active bowlers! Wanna know how to earn one? Here’s how:
LEAGUE PINS
There are 9 pins available to earn, some based on average:
GAME PINS
1) 50 Pins over Avg = For Bowlers w/avgs 140 and below
2) 75 Pins over Avg = All Bowlers
3) 100 Pins over Avg = All Bowlers
SERIES PINS
1) 500 Series = For Bowlers w/avgs 140 and below
2) 600 Series = For Bowlers w/avgs 175 and below
3) 700 Series = All Bowlers
SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT PINS (All Bowlers)
1) Triplicate = Same score all 3 games in a series
2) All Spare Game = Score a spare in each frame in a single game
3) Big Split = 7-10, 4-6-7-10 (the “Big Four”), or 4-6-7-8 (or 9)-10 (the “Greek Church”)
All bowlers can earn each pin only ONCE per season. To receive your pin, your IGBO Rep or league secretary must send in your league’s pin order via pins@igbo.org. Orders will be accepted 3 times a season: end of November, mid-February and 2 weeks prior to the end of your season. There is a Tracker Sheet available on the IGBO website under Forms. Please allow up to 2 weeks upon placing your order for pins to ship.
TOURNAMENT PINS
There are 4 new tournament pins available!
1) 75 Pins over Avg in a Game
2) Triplicate
3) All Spare Game
4) Big Split
All bowlers can earn each pin only ONCE per tournament. However, it is possible to earn the same pin at different tournaments. IGBO Tournament Reps will receive a set of pins a few weeks prior to their event along with a spreadsheet to track the pins. Pins should be distributed in person either at the awards banquet or presentation to avoid shipping costs.
